I’ve been meaning to write this post about visualization meaning for so long! In the first place, to actually be able to write this post, I had to visualize myself feeling productive, and finishing writing it. Why? Lately I have been feeling uninspired. Day by day in isolation I have felt…well… As there is so much emotions that I’ve been feeling! Lost, confused, upset, bored, with no purpose… As soon as I have finished designing my website and having purpose, it all went back to what was before.
Be that as it may, I didn’t want to feel that way anymore! I know I am worthy enough of better life. As a matter of fact, what is the point of complaining, when you can actually start living your dream life? Even if it’s just in your mind or on your vision board?
That gave me purpose. 2.5 years ago I created my first vision board. Simply I have put all of my dreams (pictures of what I was trying to attract) into my cork board. Even though I knew I couldn’t afford travelling back then, my vision board consisted 90% of travel destintion. And guess what! In reality year after I created it, I became cabin crew and started travelling The World for realsies.
Fast forward to 2020 – we can’t travel much. At all right now. And my priorities have changed as well. I grew up. Got perfect job – travelling the world. Then got married. Moreover learnt how to drive a car on the left side of the road. I have a house with beautiful garden. I am happy and so I thought it would be the perfect time to update my vision board!
What is visualization?
After quite lengthy introduction, let’s start with explaining, what actually is visualization? What is visualization meaning? If you are reading this post, some part of you already believes it, or want to believe it. Either way, let me walk you through it, so we can together prepare our next vision boards!
Visualization is an active method of using law of attraction. You can read more about what law of attraction is HERE.
With this method we are trying to attract to our life what we like, by visualizing, imagining that we already have it. Visualizing it’s seeing things, people, and situations as you’d like them to be in present moment
What authors say about it?
“It is the act of creating compelling and vivid pictures in your mind -and may be the most underutilized success tool you possess” – J.Canfield
“Whatever you hold in your mind on a constant basis is exactly what you will experience in life” – T. Robbins
This activity of visualization makes the brain work even harder and smarter. As long as you use the law of attraction,in positive way – feeling happy, therefore you will attract more of that into your life. I hope that makes sense?
More examples of visualization meaning
Let’s say, you are visualizing being healthy and eating healthier. You visualize (feel, and act like you are already eating healthy). Your subconscious mind, knowing where you want to get in life, will start helping you noticing things that might get you there. In effect, 2 days after your intention, you might see that sign about Healthy Eating Workshop, that you’ve always passed but never noticed. Miracles start to happen.
Quick off topic
Okay I just gotta say this because it is so magical and just unexplainable for me right now. To point out importance and how unpredictable visualization can be. In fact, a moment ago, I decided to find some definitions and meaning of visualization for you. Rather than copying pasting wikipedia quotes I decided to look up what famous authors have had to say about the matter. The book that I remembered had quite a lot of info on it and law of attraction was “The Success Principles” by Jack Canfield.
I am still in shock and simply astounded. For last weeks I have been affirming Money flow into my life. I am saying that because it matters to the story. So I am opening the book in the end to look for word “visualization” and numbers of pages came up. Went to the first choice, page 29 and…boom! There it is, laying in between pages – 500 Nigerian Nairas note! Trust me, I have absolutely no idea how did it get there! Super grateful.
I tried to attract money and I attracted /some / money. It was £1 worth note. Nevertheless, it taught me an important lesson!
Lesson 1: If you are visualizing or attracting something into your life, be specific! Otherwise you’ll receive /some/ version of what you wanted.
What might help you with visualize effective and understand visualization meaning better?
*Meditate – play some relaxing music, and try to find best place for you to calm your mind and body (even for 5 or 10 minutes per day)
Imagine yourself already being and having what your heart desires.
If you would like a little bit of help (I actually prefer doing it this way), I recommend Guided Meditations especially by Boho Beautiful
This one is my favourite:
*Be very specific and clear on what your desire is
*Breathe and stay focused – I have hundreds of thousands thoughts per minute. I am sure you know what I am talking about. Thoughts are running fast through your mind, but you can master it!
It requires energy – but what doesn’t these days?
*Feel the emotions – okay, I know probably you might feel overwhelmed with this one. Because hey, how are you supposed to feel like when receiving a car of your dreams? You have never received it before so how can you possibly imagine that?
My tip: try to recall in your mind lats time you were truly happy. Doesn’t matter what caused it. Just come back to that feeling of pure joy, being proud of yourself and feeling totally grateful. Remember it and use that feeling when thinking about your dream.
*Rinse and repeat – I have mentioned it in post about Law of Attraction, that it is important to stay consistent and think regularly about your dreams. Thinking just one time with no emotions about your dreams, might mean just one thing – you are not very serious about your goal. Generally speaking, I am calling you out! Come on! In essence, even 2 minutes of your day, visualizing with emotions might do its job. Make sure to try it out!
Lastly I wanted to tell you, that I am super excited about this visualization meaning topic. I always write it with incredible flow, and that’s how I know, that this is something meant for me. Maybe writing about it is part of my life purpose? I am not sure if it is. All I know is that, it makes me happy and fulfilled writing about it.
I will make sure to keep you updated, and if you have any other questions about visualization, please let me know in the comments below!
Stay positive lovelies!
